Mines Advisory Group (MAG)
Whenever and wherever wars happen, ordinary people shouldn’t pay the price. Landmines kill and maim thousands of people every year.
MAG’s vision is a safe future for men, women and children affected by conflict. We destroy landmines before they destroy lives. Making it safe for communities to grow food crops; build homes, schools, health clinics and access water sources.
Your donation will be doubled by the UK government enabling landmines to be cleared even more quickly.
Matched funds will directly support MAG’s work in Angola, which is still contaminated with an estimated 20 million landmines.
Saadla’s story

For the first time in a decade landmine casualties have increased. Almost every hour, one person is killed or injured.
Saadla, whose story you can hear in the appeal, lost his young son to a landmine. His village near Mosul may be free but so called Islamic State have left a deadly legacy.Destroy landmines before they destroy lives

Recruited from the local community, MAG’s brave deminers are vital. Sharabun is Yazidi, like so many others she had to flee the fighting and her home in Sinjar. She knows her work is vital. She enables people to come home safely from the camps.
Life-changing and Life-saving

Over 1,000 landmines were destroyed from this village alone. Now more than 500 families are home. The landmines are gone so they can rebuild their lives, grow crops and start again.
