Tony needs to let go, and is it better the devil you know for Joe?

Tony takes Peggy to the supermarket and as he wrestles with the self-service checkout he shares his worries about Johnny's move to Home Farm. Peggy's very positive about all the new experiences her great-grandson will have. But Tony will miss him. It has almost like having John back.

Robert delivers a squirrel-proof bird feeder to Peggy only to discover that the squirrels aren't her biggest problem. Robert finds the bodies of dozens of birds and rodents killed by Hilda Ogden and buried by Peggy. Peggy defends the cat but then she appears with a half-dead mouse in her jaws. Peggy is distraught, and an angry Robert insists she must do something to protect the animals.

With the Flower and Produce Show approaching, Jennifer tests her apple tarts on the fruit pickers. Meanwhile, Joe and Bert are becoming increasingly worried about Cecil Jackson. They catch one another snooping round Cecil's garden. When Lexi appears Joe quickly comes up with a cover story about a stray dog. Lexi quizzes them on the show's desserts category and teases them about Cecil being the real expert. Joe insists to Bert that they must together to stop Cecil winning in every category.
