Lilian lends an ear, and Caroline is remembered.

Jill admits to Shula she is struggling to find time to prepare for the Flower and Produce Show. She'll just be entering the honey and "Gentleman's Buttonhole" classes. Jill's heard Bert is concerned about competition from Cecil Jackson, who used to dominate the Hollerton show. Shula's looking forward to spending Christmas in Norway with Alistair. He's feeling good about investing so much in the practice now that Anisha is Latif's principal vet.

Shula and Ed join Oliver at Grey Gables to plant a memorial tree for Caroline. He's chosen cherry, which symbolises love. He buries Caroline's ashes in the roots. He will be able to see it from his suite.

While out riding, Lilian runs into Adam. Lilian reaffirms her total commitment to Justin. The date has been set for their wedding. She thanks Adam for helping her realise what she had to lose. Adam shares his concern about Ian wanting a child. What bothered him most was that Ian doesn't think they are secure enough as a couple to raise a family. Adam wonders whether he should let Ian go so he can have a family with someone else. Lilian asks, could Adam face losing Ian forever?
