Matt is keen to impress, and Christine has heard a rumour.

Matt is keen to make a good impression with the Investors' Day at Grey Gables. He even persuades Christine, who is having lunch with Peggy and Jill, to drop in. Christine has no money to invest, but can't resist all the talk about horses. She is flattered when Matt offers to introduce her to his boss Hugo.

Shula and Alan discuss plans for Caroline's memorial. Oliver seems to be coping marvellously, but Shula wonders if he's simply not accepting the reality. Shula hopes Alan won't be offended when she tells him he might not be the right person to lead the ceremony. Alan understands - it wouldn't be right for Caroline, who was an adamant atheist.

Peggy is surprised that Christine hasn't already mentioned to her that Harrison and Fallon are looking to move out of Woodbine. Sensing tension, Jill hastily turns the conversation back to the Investors' Day. Later, Justin joins them for coffee, and hears that Matt has suffered a lot of no-shows. Jill is appalled by how much food will be wasted as a result. According to Christine, Matt is mortified. When Peggy asks Justin why he's smiling he replies, it's a perfect day.
