Justin has a hard day at the office, and Clarrie worries that Eddie has overdone it.
Eddie's excited to be contributing to an article on staycations in the Echo. He's happy to big up Grange Farm as the perfect B&B. But Clarrie's worried. What if Oliver and Caroline see the article online? Maybe Eddie should phone the journalist back and withdraw the contribution? But Eddie reassures her it's fine. And it'll give them great publicity.
Pat and Tony sign the option on the Bridge Farm land deal with Justin. Pat snaps that Justin has no idea how it feels to let go of land you've worked for years. To him it's just another business deal. Justin retorts that he hopes the £30,000 eases the pain. He later apologises. He doesn't want bad feeling between them. But Pat isn't so forgiving.
Lilian's hoping her bathroom will be ready as soon as possible. Philip the builder sweet talks her, but doesn't make any promises. He has some alternative design suggestions, which Lilian likes. Justin's arrival home isn't met with the best reception, and, off kilter after his discussion with Pat, he challenges Lilian as to what's wrong. If it's his dealings with Bridge Farm making things difficult, he wishes he'd never offered on the land in the first place.
