Adam has an eventful birthday, and Anisha draws a line.

On his way to drinks with the pickers, Freddie runs into Adam. Elizabeth has agreed to let him work at weekends, and he can start full-time in the holidays. In return, he must stay on at college. Adam is happy with this arrangement, as long as Elizabeth's definitely on board. Phoebe returns from Oxford to join the family gathering Adam is having for his 50th birthday.

At nets, Rex apologises to Anisha again for cancelling their date. Anisha suggests they go out tonight, somewhere outside Ambridge, and teases Rex about not standing her up this time. The food at the Chinese restaurant they choose is awful, but nevertheless the date is a success. Rex hopes Anisha will ask him in after they kiss on the doorstep of Blossom Hill Cottage. But Anisha isn't ready for that just yet.

Things get out of hand when a group of local lads turn up and harass the pickers. Adam intervenes when a fight breaks out, and throws them off Home Farm. Freddie and Phoebe are impressed by how calm Lexi was in dealing with the situation. Phoebe jokes that they can arrange a full-scale riot for Adam's next birthday. But that one was quite enough for Adam.
