Lilian persuades a reluctant Justin to give James a lift into Felpersham. On their way to pick up James' car from the garage they run into Matt. James and Matt trade insults, until Justin intervenes. Later, Justin advises James that a happy relationship is worth the effort. And if James needs funds to help win Leonie back, Justin will happily oblige. James returns to the Dower House ready to pack for London. When Lilian wonders what has changed, Justin denies giving him a financial incentive.

To mark what would have been the week of the birth of their son, Tom and Kirsty meet for a walk. Apart from their immediate family, everyone seems to have forgotten he ever existed. They clash over the potential land deal. Kirsty can't believe Tom would do business with someone as unprincipled as Justin. What happened to the Tom who trashed GM crops? Tom describes that as a mistake, but Kirsty disagrees.

Tom's keen to meet with Justin as soon as possible but Justin insists he must go through Anthea to make arrangements. Meanwhile, Matt lures Tom to the pub with the promise of information. Tom should be aware that the Bridge Farm land could be worth much more than Justin's offering. It's up to Tom what he does next.
