Pip wants to pay her penance, and Toby wants to make things better.

Toby brings Pip breakfast in bed along with a charm bracelet gift. He recognises things haven't been great between them lately. However, despite with his good intentions, Toby manages to annoy Pip. She wishes he hadn't spent so much on the present; money is tight after the IBR and he doesn't earn enough as it is.

While Jennifer is keen to attend Kirsty's dawn chorus walk, Brian would prefer to give the early start a miss. Jennifer scraps her plans when they hear that Debbie is in favour of the family partnership. They decide to invite all the children to Sunday lunch so they can talk it through.

Determined to make things right at Brookfield, Pip tells Toby they must move out of Rickyard Cottage so it can be a holiday let. Disheartened, Toby asks Bert if he can move back into the Bungalow. Pip will crash on a friend's sofa until she sorts something. Toby hopes it will only be a temporary measure.

Ruth is stunned by Pip's suggestion for Rickyard and she apologises for what she said at Elizabeth's party. Pip says there's no need and Ruth is impressed with Pip's maturity. The two of them embrace and Ruth reassures her daughter everything's going to be fine.
