Camille Paglia, one of America's most controversial cultural critics, shares her provocative account of the course of feminism in "The Modern Battle of the Sexes".

From suffrage pioneers to 'date rape' - she accuses modern theoretical feminists of denigrating motherhood and emasculating manhood.

Recorded at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, this was originally the third in BBC Radio 3's 'Sounding the Century' lecture series. It's followed by a short and stormy exchange with members of the audience.
