Lilian gets a window on the past, and Kirsty needs to keep faith.

Lynda congratulates Kirsty on securing the new beauty supplier. Kirsty doesn't think it's anything to be proud of. She's fed up with her job - it was only supposed to be temporary - but she can't bring to mind what she really wants to do. Later, over lunch, Lynda reassures Kirsty that she will find her passion soon enough. Kirsty admires Lynda for all her achievements.

Lilian compliments Toby on his gin after trying it last night. Justin also describes it as "distinctive". After hearing this, Kenton stuns Toby with an offer to invest. But Toby's delight is short-lived as Kenton adds the proviso that the product should be named Archers Gin. Toby immediately backs out of the offer.

Justin takes Lilian to an empty, run down cottage which used to be his mother's. It's now due to be knocked down. Lilian learns about Justin's parents and their relationship. Justin is determined to appreciate what he has and he tells Lilian he wants to be with her properly. Back at the Dower House, Lilian and Justin agree that she's no longer his social secretary. As they prepare to toast the end of Lilian's employment, they're surprised by a blast from Lilian's past. "Hello, Pusscat" says Matt.
