Yesterday a Freedom of Information Request by investigative website The Detail revealed that senior DUP figures were putting pressure on the Electoral Commission not to publish the party's election returns before the Assembly election. But initially there was some public confusion in the DUP about the exact sum, and where the money came from. "We want to be open and transparent" said the DUP leader. But the same day that Arlene Foster was saying this, a senior official in her party was putting pressure on the Electoral Commission not to release the details of the party's referendum spending before the Assembly election. Stephen got reaction from Alliance leader Naomi Long.
