Toby hopes he meets the measure, and Clarrie can't help but be suspicious.
Alice remarks that Peggy's fed up with Lilian. Chris has seen Eddie's Justin Elliott impression and thinks it's brilliant. Alice is still excited about her dad buying from her company, and wants to celebrate with Chris at The Bull. Whilst there, they're roped in to Toby's gin-tasting session.
Eddie's trying to sweet talk Clarrie into agreeing to offer their B&B guests something special for Mothers' Day. Lynda's been boasting to him about Ambridge Hall's offer of aromatherapy massages. But to Eddie's dismay Clarrie's having none of it.
Toby has high hopes for the latest run of his gin. He reckons once Kenton gets a taste, his money worries will be history. However it seems everyone loves Toby's gin except Kenton. He acknowledges an improvement, but won't commit to actually buying any. Toby relays this information to exhausted Pip at the end of a long evening. But she already has worries on her mind. The milk yields are still worryingly below target. It's money her parents will never get back. Through his gin haze, Toby tries to reassures Pip; he's sure they'll get over it, and if there's anything he can do she only has to ask.
