More about the programme
Eye on Wales looks ahead to the opening of a public inquiry into competing proposals to relieve pressure on the M4 around Newport.
The Welsh Government supports the so-called Black Route, a 15-mile stretch of motorway which would bypass the city at the cost of more than £1 billion.
In the opposite corner are advocates of alternative proposals – known as the Blue Route. Backers argue it will cost both the taxpayer and the environment less.
Kayley Thomas speaks to supporters of those opposing visions – both black and blue – ahead of what promises to be a bruising encounter.
