Paul Durcan - Christmas Day 2/3
As selected from the BBC archives by Daljit Nagra, Paul Durcan continues reading his poem 'Christmas Day'. From 1997.
To mark the death last May of Paul Durcan, Daljit Nagra is revisiting the BBC's poetry archive to revisit the Irish poet reading his witty and moving poem.
'Christmas Day' sets out a funny, sweetly sad and often irreverent vision of the festivities.
In the second of three parts, Paul and his friend Frank continue their melancholic and often subversive Christmas afternoon conversation.
Written and read by Paul Durcan
Producer: David Hunter
First broadcast on Radio 3 in December 1997.
**** And Daljit reads another poem from his Poetry Extra Book of the Month - an anthology called: Nature Matters.
