Johnny seeks out Freddie, and David lends an ear.
Jazzer checks with Roy that he's all set for his date tomorrow, with Janette. Roy's nervous after his last date, with Lucy, and thinks Janette will be out of his league. Jazzer rues Roy's choice of nightclub on Saturday night - it was full of teens. Roy last went there with Hayley - a 'lifetime' ago. Jazzer offers some dating advice; Roy should act confident, not talk too much, and offer some mystery - he doesn't want to lose out to a 'knuckle-dragger' after all.
On the bus home from college Johnny and Freddie share their experiences. Freddie's a little bit mocked for being posh and is finding it hard to make new friends. If he invites anyone to Lower Loxley he'll look like he's showing off, and if he avoids this he seems a snob. Keen to get Freddie out of his shell, Johnny invites him back for pizza and beer with him and Tom.
Adam drops off leaflets at Brookfield for Home Farm's Farm Walk. Adam moans to David about his family - Kate's panto trouble, Lilian's mood, but most of all Brian being Brian. David admires Adam's operation with the no-till and herbal leys, admitting he's rather more cautious himself. He tells Adam not to let Brian wear him down but Adam's not sure how much more he can take.
