Angela Carter was one of English literature's most inventive writers.

Edmund Gordon's illuminating biography was the first to be authorised 25 years after her death in 1992.

It features interviews with close friends, collaborators, lovers and family members.

Edmund was granted access to Angela’s journals, letters and manuscripts and so created a vivid portrait of her unconventional and extraordinary life.
