Personal Best on Location: Exploring Competitiveness in a Cycle Ride Across the Pyrenees

Mountain biker Lee Craigie and four friends set out to explore the subject of competitiveness as they attempt the Transpyr route across the Pyrenees.

The Transpyr MTB is a 750km challenge coast to coast across the Pyrenees. In this special Personal Best one of Scotland's top endurance athletes, Lee Craigie, and 4 friends set out to explore the subject of competitiveness as they attempt the Transpyr route. But while the trip starts in light hearted fashion with the 5 rating each other for competitiveness, part way through the journey takes an unwelcome twist when those competitive natures start to cause problems and cracks appear in the group. In spite of the fact that they'd all agreed at the start that this was NOT going to be a race, not racing seems to be more difficult for some than for others. So will the 5 friends reach the Atlantic coast together or will their differing competitive natures and aims get the better of them?
