Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith celebrate 100 years of National Parks in America.

On 25th August 2016, celebrations occurred across America to celebrate 100 years of the National Park Service. It was Scots born naturalist John Muir who was hugely influential in the establishment of the service. To mark the occasion, Mark and Euan take a trek in the back country of Yosemite National Park to understand the place the Muir loved so much. But also to get a feel for how National Parks work in America. And what they found was that it's a whole different experience from wild camping in Scotland's National Parks, especially when you face the prospect of meeting a bear!
