Neil finds Susan checking her picture in the Calendar Girls calendar and worrying about her body image. He tells her she's beautiful but Susan is not convinced and wonders what she could have done to improve her looks.

With Susan's birthday approaching Neil enquires with Kate about the treatments she offers at her retreat. He asks if she could discreetly chat through some of them with Susan. Later, Kate explains to Susan that lots of people feel vulnerable when they have a birthday coming up. Kate suggests a detox juice cleanse but Susan is not keen to pay for something she could do herself. Against Kate's warning of the DIY approach, Susan heads to Bridge Farm to stock up on the necessary ingredients.

Helen tells Kirsty she feels lucky to have such good friends and thanks her for their trip to the cinema last night. Kirsty persuades Helen to check the joint account she had with Rob. To her shock, Helen discovers that Rob has emptied the account and it is right up to its overdraft limit.

At Bridge Farm Susan tells Helen that she can't believe she was so blind about Rob and that she has now refused to serve him in the village shop. Helen confides that she has just initiated divorce proceedings. Susan tells her she needs to be Helen Archer again, everyone wants her back.
