Greece, 2008: just prior to the elections that will bring Tsipris to power. A serial killer calling himself The National Tax Collector continues to pick off Athens’ wealthy elite with seeming impunity.

The mounting numbers of victims dumped at the city's most historical sites is putting Inspector Kostas Jaritos of the Athens Police under growing political pressure.

The killer has somehow found out about Jaritos’s role with the military police under the fascist junta in the 1970s and is about to use this knowledge to devastating effect...
