Singer Carroll Thompson burst on the scene in 1980, straight from the gospel traditions of her grandmother’s home, with a million-selling self-penned debut album Hopelessly in Love. It stayed in the UK reggae charts for an amazing and record-breaking two and a half years. She is now writing new material and is performing at Under the Bridge in Fulham on July the 8th.
