Vet College - plans to bring a dedicated vet school to Wales took a step closer this week when Aberystwyth University and the Royal Veterinary College pledged to develop a joint training programme. Rachael Garside visits Coleg Sir Gar in Llandeilo where the RVC runs a stepping stone towards forming such a college

Wildflowers - The conservation charity, Plantlife have issued a plea to landowners and farmers across the UK to think twice before sowing "off the shelf" packs of wildflower seeds. The concern is that it's not good for the long term health of our open countryside and could run the risk of turning it into a generic identikit.

Summer Solstice - at dawn on the longest day of the year a beam of sun will penetrate deep into a neolithic burial chamber on Anglesey. Bryn Celli Du is one of the most evocative archaeological sites in Britain and archaeologists are currently undertaking a project involving the community and with new excavations to further our understanding of it.
