Maureen's mum Joan drops a bombshell - she's getting married and Roy, her new husband-to-be, is 20 years younger than her. The three couples gather at the very grand hotel for the wedding.
As an impromptu stag do, Roy decides he wants them to sample the spa - much to Alan's dismay. A concerned Joyce and Carol ask Maureen if she's checked Roy out. Is Maureen sure he's not after Joan's money? They go snooping for clues in Roy's bedroom. Joan, however, catches them in the act, and the girls are left shamefaced and have to apologise to him.
On the morning of the wedding however, Roy is missing. The boys are left to find out what's happened and track him down. Meanwhile Joan is having second thoughts about the whole event, so the girls find themselves having to talk her round. Will the wedding even take place? Will John fulfil his dream of handing Joan over to her new husband? He certainly hopes so...
