Mary Anne talks to members of the WAST Nightingales choir, a group comprised of seventeen female asylum seekers, about singing as a form of expression, unity and escape.

The Greater Manchester-based group, who formed in 2009 and won the Liberty Human Rights Arts Award last year, will be touring their new show, 'STILL WE RISE' in Manchester, Bury and Newcastle-upon-Tyne this April.

The choir acts as a support group for their members, and the aim of their performance is to alter the public's perceptions of asylum seekers in Britain.
