The Boy with No Hands

When Alan Gifford was three, his mother had to make the agonising decision to remove his hands in order to save his life due to complications following a heart operation. Now the ten-year-old from Loughor, south Wales, is being given the chance to become the first child in Wales and the second youngest in the world to receive a state of the art £30,000 bionic hand.
