BBC Music Awards 2015 on Radio 2

Jo Whiley introduces Radio 2's coverage of the second annual BBC Music Awards from the Genting Arena in Birmingham.
Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton host this star-studded ceremony will crown a brilliant year of popular music making with stellar performances from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Hozier, Jess Glynne, Little Mix, OMI and One Direction with more to be announced. Multi-talented, multi- instrumentalist Jack Garratt will also perform as well as being crowned as BBC Introducing Artist of the Year.

Four other awards will be presented on the night: British Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year as decided by the BBC Music panel and Song of the Year voted for by members of the public. New for 2015 is the Live Performance of the Year award - which will be given to the band or artist who has delivered THE stand out BBC Music live moment of 2015 also voted by the BBC Music panel.

This spectacular celebration of an amazing year in music will be jammed packed with breath-taking performances and surprising collaborations from some of the biggest names in the business and hot new talent alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra.
Before the main event, Jo Whiley will be backstage and on the red carpet capturing all the build- up, excitement and gossip into Steve Wright and Simon Mayo's show during the afternoon.
