Why are older women in Denmark the happiest in Europe?

It’s 70 years since Astrid Lindgren's Pippi Longstocking books were first published in Sweden, and they’ve since been translated into 70 languages. Pippi is still the strongest girl in the world, living by herself with a pet monkey, a horse, and an endless supply of gold coins. And she’s still loved by children today. We look at why with Horrid Henry author Francesca Simon, and with Julia Eccleshare, children’s books editor at the Guardian newspaper who has just returned from celebrating the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award in Sweden.
