Further Information:
Formal religious observance in Britain may be at an all-time low, but faith-based charities are growing at the rate of three a day. There’s no doubting the commitment of those within the faith communities, but overall does a faith label help or hinder the work of the major charities? And how have charities such as Christian Aid adapted to modern expectations?
Roy Jenkins discusses faith-based charities with a panel of guests, including representatives from the food banks charity, The Trussell Trust and Christian Aid.
