First Round - Great Britain v USA: Day 1

Sue Barker introduces live coverage of Great Britain's first-round tie in the Davis Cup from the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. The British team renew their rivalry with the United States as they face them in the opening round for the second consecutive year, although it is Leon Smith's team who will be backed by a vocal home crowd this time around.

They will be hoping to replicate their performance of 2014 when, led by Andy Murray, they claimed a shock 3-1 victory over the Americans in San Diego. It is the oldest rivalry in the history of the competition, dating back to 1900, and the United States lead the head to head 11-8. The day sees the first two singles matches played on the first of three days of action from Glasgow. Studio guests include John Lloyd and Andrew Castle.
