Des Clarke talks to musician Tommy smith about life growing up on a housing scheme in Wester Hailes and how he went on to become one of Scotland's leading jazz figures. Tommy speaks about how aged 16, he was awarded a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and how he will never forget the generosity of the Wester Hailes community who helped him raise £7000 so he could live his dream.
