Gabby Logan introduces continued live coverage of the opening day of the European Athletics Championships.
The heats of the men's 100m get under way, featuring five-time British champion Dwain Chambers, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and 2013 World Championship finalist James Dasaolu.
Tiffany Porter heads the British charge as the women's 100m hurdles begin, while Michael Rimmer is among the starters in the men's 800m heats.
The first two medals of the championships are also decided with the men's shot put title the first on offer; Germany's David Storl and Russia's Aleksandr Lesnoy are the favourites to be crowned the first European champion in Zurich. The women's 10,000m final is the other title up for grabs.
