One Brief Shining Moment

80 years on from their first collaboration with Life of the Party in 1942, here's another chance to hear Ken Bruce present a special Sunday Night is Music Night celebrating two giants of musical theatre, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe.

Between them they wrote five of the most outstanding musicals of all time - 'My Fair Lady', 'Brigadoon', 'Gigi', 'Paint Your Wagon' and 'Camelot'.

With the sixty piece BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Larry Blank and starring Scarlett Strallen '(Candide', 'A Chorus Line') Hadley Fraser ('City of Angels', 'The Pajama Game') and Alex Bourne ('Kiss Me Kate', 'We Will Rock You'), the concert features some of the best known musical theatre songs of all time - 'I Could Have Danced All Night', 'How To Handle A Woman', 'Almost Like Being in Love', 'Gigi', 'Wandrin Star' and 'Camelot' amongst them.
