Ann Widdecombe
On All Things Considered this week Roy Jenkins’
guest is Ann Widdecombe, former government minister and probably amongst the
best known and most outspoken political figures in the country. She’s now a novelist, newspaper columnist and
campaigner who has appeared on stage at the Royal Opera House, starred in
pantomime, and memorably proved a huge hit on Strictly Come Dancing. A fervent convert to Roman Catholicism, with
strong views about what’s wrong in today’s Britain and how it should be fixed.
