Liam Logan opens the Kist and hears how Ulster Scots writer WG Lyttle from Co. Down has been commemorated recently in Bangor.

There’s an extract from his ever-popular Robin’s Readings, as well as a rhyme read by Mark Thompson. Mark tells Liam that as Lyttle is a writer of importance, more of his work should be republished and made easily available.

In the maiden city, James Kee tells Wilson Burgess about the ‘Not So Serious Burns’ event planned for there on the 24th. In Belfast’s Linen Hall Library, librarian John Killen shows Liam some new items from their Burns collection, and opens a book owned by the bard himself, someone who will be there ‘in person’ for the library’s annual Burns Supper on the 22nd.

In advance of her concert on the 25th in the Waterfront Hall, Eddi Reader closes the Kist with a Burns favourite.
