Series in which British families experience a trial week living in Australia or New Zealand. A mum and son want to move to Australia, but can they persuade the rest of the family?
For more than thirty years, Karen Davidson's dreamt of moving to Australia, but that vision's now split her family right down the middle. While son Blair's keen to make the move, husband Gary and daughter Skye are more than happy at home, and can't see the point of moving to the other side of the world.
On a trial week in Adelaide, Karen has one week to persuade 'Team Dad' her dream is worth chasing. Properties largely fail to convince Gary, but will a day sampling the outdoor lifestyle help convince the whole family Australia is where their future lies?

Davidson family update
After returning from Adelaide, Gary applied for jobs down under, but with little success. He’s since discovered that his potential employment sector in Australia has changed, with employers now increasingly relying on local expertise. As such, Gary no longer feels a move is possible for his family. Karen has started working part time, and as of December 2013 is content to stay in the UK for the time being.
