Conservative MP Sir Peter Bottomley says MPs need their current allowances and a pay rise if they are to attract talent from the public and private sectors.
Proposals to cut some MP's allowances have been criticised by a group of MP's. Robert Buckland, who sits on the Standards Committee says that the expenses, for things like evening meals and unplanned nights in a hotel "don't amount to very much". Facebook says it will allow users to access posts which show violent images such as beheadings and hanging.
