Nigel Plaskitt is a leading puppeteer with Muppet Show and Spitting Image pedigree. He was Hartley Hare and Tortoise in Pipkins, the voice of Captain Black in Gerry Andersons New Captain Scarlet, and the puppeteer behind the PG Tips Monkey. He was also involved with the Gorillaz Demon Days: Live at the Manchester Opera House.

He has just finished working on the BBC series “That Puppet Gameshow”. He talks about his life and work and the use of puppets on stage, TV and in film.

John was 57 when his previous novel 'The Notable Brain of Maximilian' was shortlisted for the Costa First Novel Award and the ‘Not the Booker’ prize. His latest book is a romance called 'The Coincidence Authority'. He talks about his travels through the lens of a zoologist and achieving novel writing success later in life.
