In the men's race the odds on a Brownlee victory will be short. Olympic champion Alistair has taken victory in three of the last four contests in Madrid, with brother Jonathan winning in his absence in 2012.
In the corresponding women's race last year, Nicola Spirig warmed up for her London 2012 gold-medal winning performance with victory.
