While breaking into a bank safe, a gangster overhears a bank employee singing during an upstairs amateur variety show rehearsal. Moved to tears by the sentimental tune, the gangster decides to put the tin-eared bank employee in a Broadway revue and uses numerous threats to coerce a theatrical producer into staging it.
