The Square’s been transformed into a German Christmas market. Alfie’s been up all night rigging the lights. Derek and Tyler are confident they’ll win their bet. Alfie spots Kat and Michael talking. Agitated, he drops the Christmas star as he decorates the tree; it smashes. Kat convinces him to lie down and leaves the Vic. Suspicious, Alfie checks on the ring in Kat’s drawer and vents to Michael Kat’s untrustworthy. Michael insists Kat wouldn’t cheat again. Alfie’s stunned - Michael knew about Kat’s affair! Fatboy interrupts, dragging Alfie outside where a crowd’s gathered around the tree, topped with a new Christmas star that Kat organised. Alfie switches on the Christmas lights to cheers from the crowd but isn’t happy.

Lucy wonders who the girl Joey loves is. Lauren wants Lucy to come to the Christmas lights. In the Vic, Lauren’s devastated when Joey insists they avoid each other and snaps when Abi berates her for missing Oscar’s party.

Tanya wants everything perfect for Oscar’s 5th birthday party and won’t invite Derek; she worries when Derek’s keen for a chat with Max. Derek wants to discuss Max’s stag do. Max’s stressed by Tanya’s upcoming scan results and the bother he’s getting from their “friends”. Derek gives his brothers new mobile phones. Tanya reluctantly invites Derek to Oscar’s party.

Sharon’s stressed, torn between supporting Phil and keeping Jack happy. She searches for her pills. Jack claims he binned them but eventually produces them; it’s Sharon’s choice. Although tempted, Sharon doesn’t give in. Derek finds Sharon’s pills; Jack swears him to secrecy.

Denise ropes Whitney, Liam and Morgan into singing outside the Minute Mart; they’re awful. Ian’s amused. Denise isn’t impressed when Ian jokingly produces mistletoe.

Alfie gives Fatboy relationship advice about Poppy. At the Christmas lights, Fatboy gives Poppy a mince pie with extra cream.
