Recorded at the Town Hall Birmingham, the BBC Big Band and conductor Grant Windsor perform Neal Hefti's original scores written for this jazz classic that marked the rebirth of the Basie band as a musical force to be reckoned with. These include The Kid From Red Bank, Duet, After Supper and Flight of the Foo Birds. (R).
