With Peter Allen and Louise Minchin. As part of 5 live's Homecoming week, Peter returns to Basildon where he began his career as a junior reporter on the local paper.
The storms that have battered the south-west of England are moving northwards. To date, nine hundred properties are affected by flooding, but the Association of British Insurers warns that up to two-hundred-thousand at risk properties could be left without cover in the future. Peter Allen returns to Basildon where he started his journalistic career in the 1960s, as part of 5 live's Homecoming Week. And Louise Minchin hears Joey Barton speaking English with a French accent.
