Paul Martin and experts Catherine Southon and Mark Stacey value all manner of antiques and pick out a selection of their favourites to be filmed at auction. Mark's head is turned by a Victoria and Albert porcelain jug, while Catherine falls for a 1940s sextant.

But the star item of the day is an 18th-century Tongan weapon which makes a big impression in the saleroom.

Paul also takes time out to indulge his love of art and explore the life of eccentric painter Augustus John.
