Tense crime drama about a New York real-estate heir, whose wife mysteriously disappears.

Despite the disapproval of his family, wealthy David Marks marries working-class girl Katie, convinced that love will conquer all. But the couple's fairy-tale romance begins to disintegrate as David subjects Katie to a series of violent outbursts, before she disappears under mysterious circumstances.
