A year in the life of Holyrood Secondary in Glasgow. A fifth year student fails to turn up for an exam, and the schoolchildren are pushed to their limits on the Malawi trip.

It's exam time and despite headmaster Tom's best efforts, it looks as if one of his fifth years hasn't bothered to turn up. Despite the school show being cancelled last year, head of drama Terri decides to try again; and thirty kids are pushed to their limits physically and emotionally by a trip to Malawi.
