Swansea's impressive home record was put to the test by Roberto Mancini's Manchester City, as they continued their bid for the title. Manchester United hosted West Bromwich Albion, who had never beaten Sir Alex Ferguson's men in the Premier League and were without a win at Old Trafford since 1978. Tottenham travelled to Everton looking to complete the double over David Moyes' side, following January's win at White Hart Lane.
Elsewhere, resurgent Sunderland hosted Liverpool, Wolves and Blackburn met in a relegation battle at Molineux, Stoke travelled to Chelsea, Bolton took on QPR, and Aston Villa met Fulham at Villa Park.
