She looks at how the Soft Rock Revolution sparked by the arrival of Coldplay was quickly countered by the likes of the Strokes and the Arctic Monkeys. She also looks at the continuing influence of hip hop on pop music, modern day renaissance men such as Jack White, the "Superstar DJ", and the effect the internet and new media had on the development of music.
