6 Music Celebrates 10 Years. Lauren looks at how music developed in the first decade of this century, becoming more fractious than ever with more genres, sub-genres and scenes.

6 Music's night schedule continues to celebrate the station's decade on air by revisiting documentaries from this period.

In The Real Noughties Lauren Laverne looks at how music developed in the first decade of this century, becoming more fractious than ever, with more genres, sub-genres, and scenes.

She looks at how the Soft Rock Revolution sparked by the arrival of Coldplay was quickly countered by the likes of the Strokes and the Arctic Monkeys. She also looks at the continuing influence of hip hop on pop music, modern day renaissance men such as Jack White, the "Superstar DJ", and the effect the internet and new media had on the development of music.
