As Desert Island Discs celebrates 70 years of marooning, Fred MacAulay finds out what discs BBC Radio Scotland listeners would save, as well as the stories behind those songs.

This year Britain's longest-running radio series Desert Island Discs celebrates 70 years of marooning the great and good with nothing more than a selection of their favourite songs and of course one luxury item and a book of their choice. To mark this momentous date Fred MacAulay will be finding out what discs the BBC Radio Scotland listeners would want to save from the surf as well as the stories behind those songs.
