When Derek continues with his threats against David, Michael seizes an opportunity to get one over on him. Lauren turns to the bottle after feeling neglected by her friends.
Carol and David spend the night together but Carol worries over Bianca’s reaction. David wants to tell Bianca they are together but Carol questions whether they need any more upset prompting David to pay Derek a visit. David tells Derek that they are not kids anymore, asking for them to be civil with each other. Derek applauds David’s ‘noble gesture’ but points out that being civilised never got him anywhere before threatening him again. David reveals he’s recorded everything on his phone, reminding him he’s still on licence but Derek retrieves the phone and breaks it. Michael witnesses the exchange and chats to David, expressing his hatred of Derek and his concern over Tyler’s involvement in his criminal activities but David declines Michael’s offer to ‘nail’ him. Derek tells Carol how he’s only trying to save her from herself but upsets her when he brings up Billie’s death. David finds Carol crying on Arthur’s bench where she expresses her doubts over their relationship. Following another run in with Derek, David approaches Michael and tells him ‘Let’s do it.’ Whitney asks Fatboy to take her and Morgan to meet Ray. Tyler gives Morgan a message for Whitney which he relays on route, causing an awkward moment in the car. Whitney first meets Ray alone where she explains Bianca doesn’t know they’ve come. Ray informs Whitney that Bianca stole money off him before she left. When Morgan enters the café Ray is overwhelmed to meet his son for the first time.
Feeling rejected by her mum, Nan and Tyler, Lauren resorts to drinking in the Vic. Fatboy warns Tyler off of Whitney, Cora starts work in the charity shop and Heather finally agrees to see Andrew after ignoring his calls only to walk in on him violently losing his temper in the cafe.
