Charles and Lauren

The pressure is on for 30-year-old sci-fi fanatic Charles as he tries to impress his more classy bride-to-be, 26-year-old Lauren. Originally both from Yorkshire, they met five years ago when they worked behind a bar in Newcastle and have been inseparable ever since. They currently live in Newcastle with their cat, Sarah.

Lauren is an art teacher with very sophisticated tastes and prefers the finer things in life, whereas Charles is an only child who has never grown up. He prefers watching Star Wars on repeat and playing with his lightsaber. Now Charles has been left to organise the biggest day of their lives - their wedding.

Will he boldly go where no groom has gone before or will his obsession with sci-fi take him to the dark side? Can this man give this woman a wedding that is out of this world?
